Default fuel gauge does not work please read

hello my name is chris and im new to the site, i have read alot about other problems with the fuel gauges from your experiences. ok when i first start the the car the gauge will go to full and stay there for a couple minutes then will go to empty and will not move until i turn off the ign and turn it back on. so i went to auto zone and the guy told me that alot of poeple have the same problem and its the floater. so i never researched it, so i bought a fuel pump everything new. still did the same thing. i read from your posts that your gauge is wacky its all over but mine wont move only to full then to empty after a couple minutes. so any ideas ? any idead would be helpful. thanks for your support

It'* part of the whole unit. This may help.

Do you have any other gauges acting odd? It could also be a ground problem.

the only thing i could find so fare is the ground buss connectors, is that what you are talking about or the actual grounds on the body itself ?
