Default What'* everybody running for tires

My '02 SE is needin' new rubber. I've always been kind of hooked on the Firestone Affinity'*, have gotten great mileage out of them, but am interested in what everyone else has. Am likely going to stick with stock sizes, don't want to spend the money on rims. Would also be interested to know where you'all think the best prices are. Thanks. '02 SE w/ 215,000

Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels has the best prices, hands down. My personal preference for performance/price balance is Goodrich gForce'*. They are Ken Block'* fav'* too. They seem to keep him on the road.

Sweet video. Not sure how the segway guy can be counted as a stunt driver. I'd pay money to be able to sit in the passenger seat of that Subaru. How fun would it be able to have the time and money and skill to have that ride.

Ya, I had to watch it like 5 times when I first seen it. I noticed in the credits He uses g-forces. I bought g-Force mainly for the price at the time, went thru a front set after a bad winter of long distance snow packed driving and a summer of constant burnouts. On second set now. I didnt see them listed at tirerack in 16 inch, but they do have some good choices at attractive prices.

I got the Pirelli P zero neros, good tires so far, but while an all season, they are more geared for street performance, so snow driving may not do as well if that is an issue depending on where you live and drive.

My wife got some goodyear triple assurance tires. They are awesome in the snow, and are an all season with a 80K treadwear rating. When I bought my Pirelli'* they had not yet made them for my model of bonnie, but the tire guy said they were going to. So check tirerack as already mentioned to see if they fit your needs.

P.*. sorry if I typoed - it'* real late and i'm beat.

I second Kevo'* post. I've also been running P-Zero Nero M+* for about 3 years now. I love them. We just had a pretty good snowstorm out here too. I took the Bonnie out many times even though the local road crews never plowed the roads. No issues.

I'm not Everybody, just another member.

Goodyear Aquatreads were worn to the wear indicator bars. Shimmy would start at about 69mph & get worse the faster the car went. Didn't check for when the speed at which it went away.

Checked tirerack.com for review results. General Altimax HP'* had the highest rating for the category I was looking for, so I had a pair installed on the front. Drove about 600 miles over a 3 day weekend. Shimmy is gone!

While some tire companies may have made good tires in the past, as their equipment wears out the tire quality can deteriorate as well. It'* not so much about brands but more about which company has the newest tire making equipment.
