SES Light on
New problem just cropped up today! Drove to Houston and back (~200 miles) and the "Service Engine Soon" light pops on and now stays on. Possible emissions component problem?
Let'* see ... spark plugs and wires, OnStar upgrade, valve cover gaskets, new plastic fittings on water pump, serpentine belts, broken windshield washer tubing, gas door lock problem, SES light, thump in trunk, and wheel vibration ....
If this keeps up, I may need to trade it in for a younger model ..... :(

Anyways... What is the exact code you are getting? Emmisions can mean anything from a bad O2 sensor to a bad cat, so it would really help to know the exact code you're getting

EGR code P0404. Then took it to the local dealer, they checked EGR, cleaned it (?), checked connections, found no issues and reset the code.
Did not charge me either ! (how about that?)
(They'll probably stick to me later on)
