Headers

Well I finally got to install my TOG headers today. Fit great and only took about 3hrs and a GP trans tube and stick to install. The muffler shop will weld the down tube to the converter so I can drive it. Then I'll find out if it was worth the time & money.

Bob, That's cool bro. I got mine the other day also. Need to make time to get this done. Which shop do you use? I was thinking about Iggy's, in Norridge.

I work at a shop and installed them myself. Had a friend at a muffler shop modify the front of the converter for a flange and uses a big doughnut to seal against the tog header insted of the supplied flex pipe. And uses the spring loaded bolts to conpensate for engine movement. I figure its easier to replace a $2.00 doughnut then replace the flex pipe when it splits. Now the car screams. From a roll at 25 mph it just smokes the tires. With the shift kit it scratches the tires on 1-2 shift. Next is the 3.25 pulley and 1.8 rockers.

Awesome! I can't wait to do mine.

Don't foreget to get a trans dipstick and tube from a 98 gtp. Our stock one will not clear. The dipstick tube # 12562853, & Trans fluid level indicator# 12556460. The dealer had to order the 2 parts and took 3 days from Kentucky.

Glad to hear that the GTP dipstick tube trick worked out for you guys! It took me several weeks to figure this out two years ago...

Scott

p.s. - INTENSE Rocker Arms showed a real gain of 22WHP on a mildly modified GTP in last month's issue of High Performance Pontiac magazine.
