Default E-brake stuck on

I usualy use my ebrake when I park on a hill but today when I left one of the stores I went to my ebrake only released half way and is stuck on. When I pump it, it only ratchets a couple times down and releases half way back to normal. Do you have any ideas on how to release it? Im hoping its only frozen since its -15 degrees up here in MN but ive never had that problem before except with my hood latch.

Hi

Are you able to get your car to a warm garage?

Sounds frozen too me. I would park the car in the garage and put the heater close to the rear of the car to try to thaw that stuff out.

If it doesn't thaw out, you'll need to gain access to the E-Brake arm on the rear wheel drums. Sometimes a little brake cleaner, a thump of two and some WD-40 on the cable will free it up.
