Poll on what steering/ suspension parts fail on 2000-2005 Bonneville
Doing a poll on what steering, suspension parts have needed to be replaced on 2000-2005 Bonnevilles with over 75k miles.
The purpose of this poll is to identify, before failure, what parts are likely going to need service after 75k miles, so proactive maintenance actions can be had if one so wishes.
If taking the poll (and I hope you do) please respond to all the survey questions so we have a solid statistics. The parts being polled are from RockAuto'* most sold steering and suspension list.

I don't have any data to contribute, but I have to admit, it is already not looking good for hubs. This is some good information. Thank you!

Thanks for taking the poll, please take it if you haven't.
Biggest surprise- no ball joint failures. I have had to replace ball joints on all my other GM vehicles, GM must have done something right with the Bonny ball joints.

The hubs/wheel bearings seem to be the weakest point in most GM cars. I've had my Century for about a year and a half, and I had to replace both front ones already (not sure how old the other ones were). If the ball joints/tie rod ends are anything like whats on the Century, they will last a long time. My dad'* 2004 Century had about 225 000 miles on it, and still has the original ball joints and tie rod ends. He has also replaced his hubs a couple times..

I picked "changed ball joint" by accident. Had to change mine when i melted the rubber off of it heating up the wheel bearing bolts. So ball joint remains at zero lol.

Thanks, caught the ball joint, glad to know the reason behind it. Don't feel bad about melting it, I melted a tiny hole in a CV boot on a Bravada removing a frozen shock bolt. Had to replace the half shaft.....

I've replaced one hub (passenger, front) but that'* it for problematic parts. Now my entire suspension system was swapped for GXP FE5 that only had 30-40K on it, but that was by option, not because I had to.

My question about the poll is whether there have been any replacements of inner tie rods. I'd like to know if that'* a wear problem for me to expect at 130,000 or if it'* only outer tie rod ends to replace.
Could "inner tie rods" be added?

I replaced inner tie rods at around 200,000 miles.

The poll is too late to be edited, but thanks for bringing up the inner tie rod as something that should of been tracked, and Roy thanks for sharing what the mileage was when you replaced your inner tie rods.
