Default How to program a new keyless remote

I have a 2000 ssei and needed a new keyless remote. can these be programmed without going to the dealer? thanks

As far as I know you have to go to the dealer. That is what I had to do. I imagine if someone has a repair manual though it might have the process in there. It only cost me $10 so I just went to the dealer to do it.

Never heard of a dealer that even talkes to you for less than $90 much less programing a fob for $10?? don't believe that!

I must have got them on a good day then. They wanted $29.95 to do it but they said it was a slow day so they got it done quick and only charged me $10. They normally charge $60 an hour, $90 is pretty high.
