Gauge Pod/Pillar for 2000-2003 Bonneville

I am trying to find someone who has/can get/knows someone who knows where I can find a gauge pod or A pillar for my 2002 Pontiac Bonneville (boost, air temp, fuel ratio, etc) Lotek makes pillars for a lot of vehicles, and may have one that will "fit", I am waiting to hear from them. If they don't they will MAKE one for a group (ie Bonneville Club) as long as they have a minimum order of 30, so two parts.
1. Is there a gauge pillar for the 2000+ Bonneville?
2. Is anyone interested in a custom made pillar? (should be around $40-$60)

Dont know if moderator wants to make this a sticky, or a note...someone let me know.

How about an Admin? You are now STICKY. Enjoy the publicity, and good luck!

I dont know if they offer a 5" option, but I for one am very interested in the three pod option of the standard size. What do we (2000+Bonneville owners) need to do to get these things on order?

Well, I guess you've been there and done that!

I need a 2 or 3 pilar pod mount for a 2000 bonneville. how many do we need?

Ok here is how it will go with the DP build.

The first mock up is started and first will be the 92-99-pillar pods.2 pod system. Then we will make the 2000-2003. We will also make a 87-90 91? And the other two builds will support the final build so all the Bonneville’s will have the option. Believe me I cant wait to get this project off the table.

So...this means what exactly? When is the project starting, and when can we (each model year) expect to see a prototype?

Tomorrow I follow up with the 92-99 pillar pods to see where they are at with the mock up. I will have a better time line then. I am going to share my assumptions so I can give you an idea of the plan. One more week at most for the 92-99 mock up to be measured and tested to be sure it is a proper fitting unit.

Then we do the group purchase to offer it at a reasonable price.

Once we have the people lined up and paid into the purchase they are mass-produced.

Then comes the 2000-2003.
Two to 3 weeks for the mock up and then a group order is posted.

All of these options will include the option to purchase a one off unit. And prices will depend on many variables so I will have to talk to cost tomorrow when I call in on the 92-99 units.

The 2000-2003 units may happen faster but it depends on many variables.

any update Ty?

speedyguy 09-19-2003 07:06 PM

Yes I just have to be bugged. lol I called again and the 92-99 is just getting its last coat today and tomorrow and then it will be sent off and will arrive in my hands to go over. They will be starting on the 2000-2003 Bonneville directly afterwards this will mean another week or so on the 2000-2003. The molds were made flexible so we can change them later for custom product. So if you want a huge gauge or other product attached we can make that happen.

I will get the full price breakdown when the item arrives.

I just can’t wait to get the hoods done.

Pictures! (when available ;) )

92-99 middle of next week is my guess.

They will use the same attachment system Lotek uses. They use two screws to mount it but the prototype will have no screw holes until I work out the best position for the screws.
