Cooling Fans
Is there any way to check my cooling fans?
I was doing only about 2 hours worth of city driving last week and when I opened my hood after driving around, the engine seemed extremely hot. I went inside the car, and checked the gauge, it read "half a tick under 200." I did change out my 195* T-stat for a 180 and when I am driving the car normally, it'* usually "a tick and a half" under 200. So, being curious to see if my fans worked, I turned on my AC with the car in park and running and both fans did turn on.
My question is: At what temp. will the fans run without turning on the A/C?

It sounds as if everything is ok. If the cooling fans did not come on when they are supposed to, you would be seeing higher temps than you are. If you want the fans to come on earlier, to correspond with your 180* thermostat, you may want to consider getting a PCM from Intense, or similar company, that will lower the fan temps. Or, someone with a tuner can do it for you.
