gas cap lock

Do our cars gas caps lock or do I have to purchase one? If they lock how does it work?

Gas cap doesn't lock, but the fuel door does.

Our fuel door locks? I dont have a release inside my car for it

It locks with your doors. When your doors are locked, your fuel door is locked. Is there a release latch in the trunk. I sort of remember seeing one (I'm too lazy to get up and walk outside and look.

I just went outside and checked and my gas door opens and the cap comes right off. So am I to assume no locking gascap for GXPs. How cheap can pontiac be

Lock your doors and try it. The gas door locks down with the door locks. If it's not locking, you might have blown the latch. And there should be a cable with a plastic end on it in the drivers side corner of the trunk right behind the wheel well.

Please forgive the dirty car, lol. It hasn't stopped raining/sleeting/snowing since Friday night.

Well my GXP does not have the lock or latch so I guess pontiac got cheap in bonnevilles final year. Thank you for the effort as I really appreciate it. This is why GM had to slash their earnings forcast by 80% already this year. Crap

All I can say is I am glad i got GAP insurance on this car.
