Default why is this happening to me? SES, Traction, ABS, Stability

im just so frustrated right now. im losing my job on the 14th (its official), i have a replacement job, but its only 2 days a week (only job thats shown any interest in me). ive really got only one potential buyer for my car, and i just spent $800 replacing the wheel bearings and catalytic converters. i went out last night to get some taco bell for nancy, and i get SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM on the DIC in conjunction with TRAC OFF and the ABS light. all together.

drove my friend to get his car today (about a 30 min drive, he was too drunk last night to drive so he called me to pick him up), on the way back i get SERVICE ENGINE SOON light. im thinking "not a big deal, probably just related to the other problem" -- so i go to get the code ran, and the code is P0420. . .

i just had the catalytic converters replaced on the 15th (and the shop i took it to took a 150 mile test drive, filled my tank with 87 octane gas, and broke the gas cap . . .).

any ideas on what these problems are?

im already losing at least $4000 to get rid of this car . . . now this on top of it, with no income and tuition and books and bills . . . im getting really worn here.

I think I would be having a shops *** if they took my car for a 2mile drive let alone 150. I don't care what the problem is or was there would be absolutely no excuse for putting that kinda mileage on your car.

I replaced my front hubs a couple of months ago, and am now starting to get the stability system warning on occasion also. It often resets the next time the car starts, and seems to have no rhyme or reason as to when it will go off again. I suspect one of the hubs having an intermittent sensor. Some have had problems with that code showing up after replacing the cat. Some of them have had the code programmed out of the PCM.

high flow cat yields a P0420 about once a week on my car...I'm using the 3" magnaflow.

You can try resetting the code, and see if it returns. If it does, I believe they also make a rear O2 spoof that could take care of the code showing up.

Same here. Once i get VCM suite i am just going to delete the code. The 02Spoof might be a little harder to get ahold of then it once was. Casper'* who was manufacturing a good majority of them got hit with a HUGE lawsuit from the EPA (I think that was the agency) so alot of the 02 Simulators have been taken off the market. ZZP still has them for 40 bucks but i think they have a different manufacture. If you are trying to sell the car, the only issue i can see with installing the 02 simulator is that you could probably get into some legal trouble regarding tampering with your emission system.

Yeah i had a guy look at my car because i also have the trac off, anti-lock, lights on with all of my hubs and wiring harness replaced. Figured out my front right hub was sending a faulty signal to my ABC module. He said its about $1500 to replace, so Im on the fense to get it fixed. I had to pull my ABS fuse and i havent noticed any huge differences.
