Fuel Pump Rewire - Anyone Done This?

I know with the GTPs the fuel pump rewire is a good mod. Is this needed with the 00+ Bonne's? If so, is the wiring for the FP in the fuse box under the back seat or does it run to the fusebox in the engine bay? Just curious.

TIA

The fuse (fuse #1) for the fuel pump is located in the rear fuse block. What is this re-wire mod for the fuel pump about?

X2

I haven't heard anything about this on Bonneville's as well as Grand Prix's?

Benefits?

Thanks for the info. As for the mod for the GTPs, the stock power wire for the FP is a smaller guage which results in voltage drop over the length of the wire from the fuse box under the hood to the fuel pump in the rear. This rewire kit essentially replaces this with a thicker guage wire and elimnates the voltage drop to ensure the FP gets maximum voltage. This is important to ensure optimum fuel delivery at WOT.

Here's how the kit installs for the GTP folks:

I guess I'll take a look under the back seat tomorrow. :)
