Fuel pump replacement with out replacing the whole assembly. HOW and WHAT parts

My Bonneville obviously needs a new fuel pump. It's making the typical GM fuel pump whine and its got quite the miss. Filter is new with all new injector o-rings. I've been able to just swap out the filter and it would go away. Can't ignore it now.

I really don't want to have to buy a $300 complete drop in from a parts store. There has to be just a pump available to swap out with a stainer.

IS there one and where do I get it fast? Is there is thread link that shows what I am looking for?

Thanks!!

That looks like a universal pump, not something that is a swap component for the pumps we have. I will have to look at the pump I have at home, but the pump in that link does not look familiar at all.

Best for him to call to make sure. That way nobody has to bet.

I agree if you can get your hands on another OEM part # the one i posted lists it and you can confirm it that way

I went ahead bought the pump replacement kit from RA. Everything worked great except the external strainer. Not the correct one. Sweet talked a girl at the NAPA store and she gave me strainer from a complete fuel pump assembly from their inventory. Trust me, I've spend half my kids college tuition in that store!!! Pump works great..and without the $300+ price tag.

Thanks
