Default Fuel Filler Neck

I'm in need of a fuel filler neck. Can anyone recomend a place to find one. I'm having some problems finding one. I don't know the part number so I can't find one on GMPD. Any help would be great...

you can try ed morad or call your dealer to get the part number. I'm not sure exactly what you need or how big of a part it is.

1. Drain the fuel tank most of the way
2. Open the fuel filler door and remove fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the sealing ring from around the fuel filler tube.
4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the wheel house opening fuel filler tube cover.
6. Remove the bolt from the fuel filler tube ground wire.
7. Loosen the fuel filler tube hose clamp.
8. Remove the fuel filler tube from the fuel filler hose.
9. In order to remove the fuel filler hose removal of the fuel tank is necessary.

instructions are here with more info

From a practical standpoint of having changed filler necks before I'd mention that draining the tank shouldn't be necessary. If it'* not overfull the filler neck shouldn't be full of fuel, only the tank. Also the rubber connection hoses should bend and flex enough that the tank removal isn't required.

Having it up on jackstands high enough or a lift would be optimal.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to add my personal insights to this thread: I would advise against buying after market fuel filler necks only because I've had bad experiences with the fit of said products in the past. The alignment would always be slightly off no matter how many adjustments I would make to the neck and this would cause an irksome rattle sound to occur over bumps, some fuel spillage and a migraine for yours truly

With that said, I've heard solid things about gmpartsgiant.com. They're an OEM GM parts site that sells factory/dealer parts at a hefty discount. Try looking for the fuel filler neck there man

..(end) my .02 cents
