Does anyone know how to replace the front outer tie rods on a 2001 SSEi? I took my car to Midas to have them look at it and they said it was gonna be 160.00 for the two outer tie rods...I got them for far less...50 bucks total but wanted to know if anyone knew the step-by-step procedures for replacing the worn ones and installing the new ones?

You really should get a Chiltons manual to do this sort of thing.

Here'* the basic idea:

Jack car up
Set car on jack stand
Remove wheel
Break bind nut loose
beat joint out with tool you can rent from autozone
count turns as you remove part
install new part same number of turns
tighten bind nut
tighten in joint
reinstall tire
set car down
drive directly to the alingment shop.
