"EXP 85"???
That doesn't ring a bell as a trouble code. Could you please verify that?
Or, as an alternative, maybe get some clearer information as to the specific failure mode.

This was a one time thing but it does read codes like this. When she opened the door with the car in drive it read exp67 and the red light came on for the door as normal but I just don't know why the car would die. It did say exp 85 though. I can not find these codes in the owners manual either. Any other Ideas????

Nemo, you've got me on this one. I am not able to scare up any EXP type trouble code listings anywhere. I've done a few searches to see what else I can find, but nothing seems to come up. In the meantime, here'* a link to a great site that has all kinds of code information:
AWH: On-board Diagnostic Trouble Codes
As such, the best recommendation I can come up with so far is twofold:
- Take your mother'* car to a local Advance or AutoZone and have them read the stored code history for you. Write down exactly what the scanner says and maybe we can go from there.
- Try and get better details as to what is/was happening when the car died. How did it die? Sputtering? Lack of Fuel? Electrical issue? Any info you can scare up can help in a diagnosis.
We want to help you, but at the momonent you have us stumped.
