Default 2005 Remote Programming

I searched the forums for programming instructions for my 2005 Bonneville SE keyless entry remote. The only thread I found was for a 2004.

https://www.gmforum.com/how-127/how-program-keyless-remote-2004-a-278256/

Will these instructions work for my '05?

I bought my '05 used and it came with only the #1 remote. (Has a large #1 stamped on the back). I want to buy another remote, $25 off ebay, but I'm not sure if I am going to be able to program it myself or if I have to have the dealer do it.

Anyone know the correct way to program these remotes?

Thanks...

That was how I did a 99 GP, but I'm pretty sure 2000+ the only way to program them is to do it with a TechII which mostly dealers have unless you have a friend with one

not sure why that info is there for a 2004, but it might be right
