COde P0206 - Drivng me bananas!
My SES light came on a few weeks ago -and the motor felt like it was missing a cylinder. Idle was extremely rough - engine was shaking. Went to work went back out and it was fine. 3 days ago same thing - this time it lasted 2 days.... planned on getting it fixed over the weekend. then it is fine again for a day - then today its back!
Checked the code and it is cylinder 5 injector check cicuit? Is that bad injector? THought a cut wire but then it wouldnt be intermittent?
Anyone have this issue?

I checked those and all looked good. I ran the codes again and there was also random misfire. I pullled the wires off the coils and had 2 posts, of course on 2 different coils all rusted. Changed 2 of the coils and the 2 wires to those posts and car rides like a charm again. Hoping the injector code was just a result of the misfire? Only time will tell. Thanks for the ideas!

I would understand the misfire being from the coils, nto the injector though. Let us know if you have further issues and you probably did this, but if not...you may want to add a light amount of dielectric to all coil posts to keep them from corroding in the future.

Don't toss those coils. Clean the posts and keep them as spares.
If an injector fails to supply fuel to a particular cylinder, you will get a misfire. There'* no fuel to combust. So an injector CAN cause a misfire code to be set. It is very rare though.
