sunroof not sitting flat
My brother'* sunroof has started to sit on a huge angle when it'* "closed." Enough of an angle that water is leaking into the car. He said it just started doing it last month but it wasn't on that bad of an angle and now it'* gotten worse and worse. He just now told me about it. What kind of repair are we looking at here, and even more importantly, the cost of it.. Thanks guys! The passenger side of the sunroof sits just fine as far as I know.

There are 4 screws on the assembly itself. You can loosen them and adjust it. This may have happened as a result of an ice chunk in the way when opening or closing.
I'm concerned that water is getting in the car. It shouldn't. It should be draining properly through the pillar drains even if it gets past the sunroof seal. Have him check the drains to be sure they're hooked up and not plugged. Run a piece of wire through them.
The adjustment procedure works better with two people. Your brother'* sunroof varies slightly from mine. It would be helpful if one of the 2000 guys can post a pic pointing out the two screws on one side.

I'm assuming that the headliner will need to be dropped in order to adjust it? or are they the screws on the inside frame of the sunroof that you can see from below the roof when it'* closed?

You can access the screws with the sunroof in the vent position. Nothing to take apart. In fact, you can remove the entire class assembly from the vent position.

thanks Will for the insight. I undid the screws and pushed the glass as high as it'd go and it'* a lot better than it was. It is still stlightly lower than the roofline but it shouldn't leak now. He had water leaking into his car because we had rain all of yesterday then had our first snowfall and the inlets were blocked with ice. It should be fine from here on out though we're hoping. Thanks again.

I am having the same problem with mine. I adjusted the screws like you all the way up but water still leaks past the seal. This helped me discover that my drain line is leaking into the front right floorboard. I am going to try the wire and air compressor route this weekend but does anyone know how to get the sunroof to actually seal?

I don't see a listing for the seal (is it around the edge of the glass on the 2000 and newer?). It MIGHT be the same as the 92-99, but no gaurantees. That part number and procedure is in Techinfo.
