Cabin Air Filter
:?: For those with a 2000 or later Bonnie, where is your cabin air filter located at and how often do you change it? Last Sunday was the birth of our first child, a boy, named Jack. I was talking with a friend at my work and he showed me a brochure talking about how dirty the air is if you don't change the filter.

Congrats Kevo on the birth of your son
The filter is located on the passenger side winshield wiper valance. There should be two tabs to open up and remove the top cover. It is a large rectangle filter with a plastic frame.

Keeping the cabin air clean is very important, most people wonder why there is so much dust and soot on the dash...the cabin air filter is a very important item to keep green
And be sure to welcome Jack to the club
Congrats Kevo

I hadn't even thought about the possibility of a cabin air filter. I'm glad someone gave me the heads up on it.

Mine just turned 30k. The filter looks not quite as bad as the engine air filter.
The aftermarket filters are a little pricey. I'm on my way to a hardware store for "washable" home air filter material. I can make 5 for half the price of 1 auto filter. Will look for one listed for pollen. 90% efficiency but that'* all hype really! Use to teach a class on air filters.
I'll let you guys know how it works out. I love to beat the system using my noggin'.

My personal thinking is that 30K/every year and a half to two years is about right.
