Default ABS Concern

I am taking my car to the dealer for this but I was wondering if anybody else has ever run into this problem. :?: Tuesday of this week I jumped in my car to leave for work. I backed out of the garage and the Service Stability System message came on the DIC. I drove to work and it was on the whole time. When I left work 8 hours later, the message, abs light, and traction lights were all off and everything was fine. I figured I would check it out this weekend.

Yesterday morning when I left for work, everything was ok until I got a couple miles from my house. The first time I had to make a "moderate brake application, my ABS activated. I was on perfectly dry pavement traveling about 45 to 50 mph when I started braking. I could hear the ABS pump and could feel it in the brake pedal. The *** end of the car started to come around on me. It was almost like I was riding on flat tires. I got it straightened up and continued on very carefully. The Service Stability System light never came on. I had no problems the rest of the way to work and no problems going home.

This morning I thought I'd give the Boner one more shot this week. I backed out of the garage and got about 100 yards down the road when I had to stop for a light. I was only traveling about 30 mph and when I stepped on the brake lightly. The ABS activated again just like I was on glare ice! I let off the brake and tried again and it did it again... I almost hit the car in front of me because I wasn't stopping all that fast. I got it stopped and the Service Stability System message came on again along with the ABS, and traction lights. They were on the whole way into work with no other problems. Just wondering if anybody had this happen before.....

Glad to hear everything is back in working order! Any idea how much the WSS and labor would have cost without the warranty? I have a warranty, just curious.

I think parts + labor are in the $400 to $500 range.
