Default My poor window

Someone slammed my rear passenger door and down went the window. I had "a friend" attempt to fix it, as he is handy with this sort of thing, and low and behold he got jailed right in the middle of it. He says it works but if I use it the motor won't stop running. Doesn't sound fixed at all to me. Anyway, all the parts are in my floorboard and I don't know how to fix it or put it back together. There is a long rod that I can't seem to place and if the motor is fixed, what else is missing? Please somebody help!!!
