Default alternator problem?

well i finished my big trip on monday, and i noticed a few things from being in my car that long.

1. i got surprisingly good mileage-27mpg was what i calculated and that was with 4 people in the car.

2. whenever i roll all my windows down at once, the light dims, the headlights dim, and the gauge drops.

whats causing this? or is it normal?

Well you do have the base alternator, it wasn't meant to support lights, and 4 window motors all at once. I doubt anything is wrong. If the gauge looks fine under normal no load conditions while driving, then its most likely fine.

I agree. The motors on the windows draw a fair amount of current. Sounds normal.
