Default Where is the power wire for radio? /satellite hookup install

I hooked up a satellite unit in my 2000 ssei. Now I have it hooked directly up to the battery with a fused circuit. I would like to hook the 12v + wire up to the same feed that the radio has. So it wil stay on until the door is opened or time out eventually. Anybody know where that wire is? An "easy way to get at it?

Thanks

Power +12VDC to the radio is present at all times supplied from fuse 21 (10A) in the Rear Fuse Block. The Retained Accessory Power (RAP) function that you refer to when a door is opened is controlled by serial data input form the Dash Integration Module (DIM) to the radio. The power turn off of the radio in RAP mode takes place internal to the radio via the serial data link with the DIM.

Thanks for the reply but I didn't quite understand everything you referred to. So is it possible to tap into the same cirucit or wire that makes the radio stay on until the door is opened?

No, power to the radio is constant. The radio is turned off internally via class two serial link from the DIM when in RAP mode.

I don't know about the 2000+, but I spliced into a wire going to the back of my deck that turned the radio on only when the car was one (and subsequently, shuts it off when the door opens). It was a red wire on my car...

EDIT: The cigarette lighter isn't switched, if by switched you mean shuts off when the door opens?

Ryan..2000+ run off data link system and don't have power to the radios like the old ones. Searching the radio forum..we'll find that most use the cig lighter. Not sure if it'* switched..off to search.

Here we go. Power turns off to the cig lighter after 15 minutes.

yes, use the cigarette lighter for your +12v power source. It turns off 10 minutes after ignition-off, regardless if a door is opened or not.
