Default Voltage Issue

I pluged in my power converter yesterday and noticed that I am only getting between 10.7 and 11.8 volts from the rear acc jack. When I first got the car it was between 12.7 and 13.x and if I turn on the A/C the converter shuts off completely.....

Could this be the sign of a weakening Alternator ? or something else with the GXP'* nightmare electronics. I will load test the ALT tomorrow morning tho JTBS and where would be the best place to do that Under the seat or under the hood ? or right on the battery

If the GXP'* layout is similar, the fuses for the outlets are in the underhood fuse box. I'd check right at the battery posts for the alternator output. I'd also check all of the power connections. The fuses have two positions..one for always on, and the other for a 10 minute shut off. You may want to try moving to the always on and see what you get.

How much power does the converter take? Are those battery voltages with the converter at static load or is the converter loaded? IMO, you should load test the battery at the battery terminals.

Everything tested fine this afternoon :? Made an appointment with the dealer after a ohone conversation.. Could have something to do with the A/C hooked up a tester today turned on the A/C and everything plunged to below 12volts. And mentioned to the service advisor that it has been switching between driver 1 and 2 on start up.. With out a fight he said come on in next week and we'll get it fixed up.
