Issue with my 2000 SSEi
Alright I am out of state working. (originally from Michigan working in Delaware) and all of a sudden today my car starts this bucking issues. When I give it gas more than half throttle the car bucks very roughly then continues to run normally. Oil pressure guage drops and tach drops as well. Car runs fine when idling most of the time, however when sitting on an incline it bucks again at idle. Anyone care to help me diagnose this so i don't get taken at a shop this far away from home?
Only think I can think is fuel, SC works fine, oil just changed a month ago. Brakes were put on and the service engine light was cleared after we found a small leak at the base of the gas tank cap. No service engine soon light since. However I was told that my Catalytic Convertor'* interior material was loose and I would eventually need a new convertor, but the sound of the exhaust had not changes so i doubt it has broken up and clogged the system.
Any ideas?

Possibly fuel, but maybe your battery connections also. Someone more knowledgable should chime in soon.
Psst...and for future reference...this should be posted in the 00+ mechanical section

If the problem gets worse when the engine is fully warmed up, it could be that the cat is at least partially clogged. When were the plugs and wires done? Also, check for vacuum leaks, paying close attention to the vacuum T, and associated tubing, that is under the supercharger snout on the LIM.
Cleaning up the connections to the battery, including the bolt and threads in the floor pan for the negative battery strap, would also be a good idea.

thanks fopr the help. I checked the battery terminals in the back seat and they look brand new. The last mechanic told me material in the convertor was loose os thats my first job to tackle to see if it corrects the problem. It gets worse the longer the car is running i beleive. Its only been one day so its tough to tell.
