cross drilled/slotted rotors
I'm to lazy to search to see if this has been brough up allready sorry.
But anyone know of any for a '00 SSEi? |
Brembo has them (12") as well as rsm. rsm also has a 13" upgrade kit with dual piston calipers. You have to call as they dont list them on line?

huh Ok I'll check them out. Thanks.

I too have this exact same question. My question though, is which rotors I should go with? these from advance auto for $140 for two http://www.partsamerica.com/product_...Y/SSRotors.jpg
SUPERSTOP™ Severe Duty Rotors are specially formulated and designed for trucks, police, taxi and fleet type vehicles to provide severe duty performance and extra long life. * Cast in G3000 material with 30,000-psi tensile strength for the structural integrity required to meet the demands of fleet operations * Drilled and slotted braking surface maximizes cooling and improves wet-weather braking * Faster heat dissipation reduces rotor and pad wear * Longer service life reduces downtime and operating costs * D3EA Certified to be consistent with Federal Safety Standards for new vehicles OR these from domestic performance... http://www.domesticperformance.com/images/rotor1.jpg This slotted rotor is the perfect upgrade for the person who is tired of rotor problems with their stock Gm product. Not only does this product have an overall greater quality and harder slug (high carbon) but the added precision slots give you a much quicker and precise stop. The price quoted is for Two Front Rotors. Below is an option to Add Performance Bendix Ceramic pads. We suggest purchasing our street performance pads or other street rated ceramic pads. When purchasing your rotors be sure to fill in the information blanks below. If I go with the top rotors, will those be good with ceramic brake pads? I know the ones from DP recommend ceramic pads (which I'd be buying) but I want to make sure if I buy the ones from advance auto that the ceramic pads will go well with them. I'm tired of brake dust, and I'm even more tired of break squeal! THe ones from advance auto look better to me though and they're cheaper. What do you guys think? I'll probably get Raybestos ceramic pads if I get the ones from advance auto, or the BENDIX pads if I get the ones from domestic performance.. |
The tire rack has lots of different rotors for our cars.
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resul...tors&brand=all Drilled rotors may fail with regular usage trying to stop our heavy cars, if poorley made the rotor will develop tiny cracks around the drilled holes. Slotted rotors are a good improvement over stock with better rotor cooling and no cracks. |
No $hit Advance carrys those. Thats a good $$. I'll go with them. Raybestos makes good brake parts.

I am running those rotors with the ceramic pads. They have been on for 9 months and I love them.
