Do you own a multimeter?
If so set it to ohms, and look where the lower intake manifold is, you should be able to see a tiny bit of the gasket frame, with the multimeter set to ohms, put the red and black leads on just the edge of the gasket frame, make sure you are not touching it to the intake manifold itself, or engine block, if the multimeter reads OL (open loop) then you know it is the only nylon 6,6, (plastic) style LIM Gaskets, and they need to be replaced, if you get an actual reading other than OL, then you know the LIM Gasket was replaced with an aluminum one.

If you have a little mechanical ability then the job will not be too hard, it could take a full day to do if you have all the parts you need, maybe even more than a day depending on whether or not you run into any issues.
