code P0105

My bonneville (200 SE ) Has been surgeing the service engine light came on and the code I got Was P0105 which reads mass or volume air flow circiut low input. does any one know what part I should replace?

I also looked up the code in the readers file and it read the problem to be manifold absolute pressure/barometric circiut malfunction[/code]

I can not find that specific code as it relates to our cars. Do you know if it was low frequency or low voltage? The code refers to the Mass Airflow Sensor, the black rectangular box that is attached to the top part of the throttle body. It measures the amount of air being drawn into the engine so that it can adjust for the proper amount of fuel to be added.

it just reads air flow low circiut input

code

no not positive the code reader did sayP0105,but it could be off. Our mechanic at work thinks it is the map sensor, is that the the square box on the throttle body? it is black and about 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"

the MAP sensor is located above the rear valve cover and has a vaccum line running to the bottom of it

the MAF sensor is located on the top of the throttle body, and is probably your problem.

its the MAF. i had the same problem with my 2000 SE.

very easy to replace but you need a special automotive torx bit to get the screws off (a dollar at any hardware store) i think its a 20 or a 15

just pop the old one off and put a new one on.

you can also try cleaning the thermisters (two little wires inside the old MAF) with some electronics cleaner. I tried but it didnt do anything, some people say it fixed the problem.
