Code 1404 EGR Help please....?
 

Hi all,

I am new to this forum, I already searched it but didn't get any infor that could help me,

My buddy gotta 2001 Bonneville with 3.8L none supercharged. He is getting Error 1404 which is EGR sensor, he replaced it, cost him 180Canadian dollor for a new one but the code still there, the car has 180K Km, but in a very clean condition, any help will be appreciated.

Did he have the code reset after installing the part?

The code usually wont go away without many starts with the corrected part. If he did reset the code did it come right back or is it a new code?
