I have a 2000 SE and wanted some input on its potential... What kinds of mods am i looking at doing to get a high 14 - low 15 second 1/4mile time.. its just too sluggish off the line for me now...

Check out www.intense-racing.com and www.zzperformance.com for some good stuff.

A good CAI or FWI for the intake, possibly exhaust work, ZZP HVII, HVTB, 180 t-stat, PCM, headers or PEM'*, UD pulleys, and rockers will make it quite quick. If you want to really get in the 14'*, get an upgraded cam. Intense and ZZP offer many levels of NA cams. But a cam install is very time consuming and must be done very carefully.

Hope this makes sense.

I'd say a cam, ported manifolds, intake, and a PCM would put you where you'd like.

A kit is in the works, (being released in a month or two MAX) to put a supercharger on the L36. They're planning about $1k for the whole kit it sound like.

I think the prototype car has run in the 13'*, lower then a stock L67.

Oh yea, I forgot about that. Since the Bonnie is a bit heavier, I'm sure it will be in the 14'* no problem with that, and supporting mods.

Hrm....

Keep in mind that even with a supercharger kit, you could be looking at more money for beefier internals to take it as a preventative measure. If you don't, then blow something, even more cash is required.

There'* a reason the engineers at GM designed the L67 and L36 with different components. They're not idiots.
