Default key programming

i just had to buy a new key because i lost my last set, however i dont know how to program it to work with my car. does anyone know how to make my new key work? im getting pretty frustrated not being able to drive it now for over a month! thanks!

Where'd you get the key from? If you don't have the old one to measure the resistance of the pellet, then you'll have to get a new one from the dealer, based on your VIN.

i got the key from the dealer, they told me it had to be programmed though

there is no pellet ist PK3

im gonna assume that you need the TECH2 to program it

Go get your manual if you have DIC which you do being an SSEi owner read about it in there. Yes there is a way of should be unless they need a Tech 2 like 93 SLE said. Try it my way first tho. Good luck!

Thanks guys! I finally figured it out though!
3 step process
Half hour with a good battery or connected to a charger

start with new key.. it wont start but leave in on position
ten minutes later turn key again and leave in on position
third time, repeat process
ten minutes later it should start right up... it did for me!
