Intake manifold leak?
My 2003 SLE with 135,000 runs great and is not using any coolant. I do notice a little anti freeze pooled up in one of the small pockets on top of the engine. Been reading all the threads about UIM and LIM and am getting nervous. I do not see any reason to do anything at this point except monitor the situation. Would it make any sense to retourque the bolts or am I better off just leaving things alone?

Took a good picture but do not know how to insert it in here. The coolant is in the second pocket over from the left on the intake manifold. Front of engine. How do I post a picture?

you can either attach it by using the go advanced button below your reply box and in the tool portion of that window there is a icon with a paperclip click there and upload it from the file you put it in or upload it to photobucket or such website and image code it to here [IMG]

That'* pretty common. From the factory there is some sealant used on the LIM bolts. However over time sometimes oil/coolant does seep up them and onto the manifold. It'* not a critical issue, however will continue unless the gaskets are redone and the bolts cleaned and resealed.

Ask a plumber what happens when he changes out hot water tanks in an old house. Good chance you might spring a leak somewhere else in the system. IMO anyway.
Bill, doesn't the engine have to be pretty much dry for the thread sealer to cure?
