Default Radio Backlight

I know this issue has been posted before, but I can't find it.

I've lost part of the backlit illumination in my BOSE radio/ cd/ cassette display. I know it'* easy to pull the unit out, but is it a big deal to crack it open and replace the bulbs or LED'*?

Thx/

So far I have not been able to find a replacement led. Everyone says you have to replace the entire radio.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that there was no known fix for this problem, but I was hoping I was wrong.

No no there is a fix for this problem. Of course i just looked and the site that used to have them is charging 8 bucks for it now. Wouldn't u just know it. If it is JUST your display that'* out, and your buttons still light up you can remove the faceplate of the radio (it needs to come out) and change the one bulb behind the LCD screen. Many people have had this problem. Also it'* not an LED it'* just a regular tiny little bulb. Costs about $1.50.

You have a part number for the bulb and where to get it?

Ya the dealer will automatically say "oh gotta change the radio, that'* the only way". Way to expensive.

Is the backlight bulb the bigger $16 one...or is it one of the small ones?
