Booster Guage

Exactly what is the "booster guage" supposed to read? Mine seems to ride normally at the bottom of the left on the guage and if I step on it, it gets to about half. What is this measuring?

the air that the supercharger is forcing into the engine from the spining of the rotors in the S/C. THe boost gague should read just under 10 at WOT without mods.

The - side of the gauge is vacuum while the + side is your boost. At idle you should be close to -8 or so while at WOT you should see somewhere around +6 if your stock. It is actually gauging manifold pressure.

Thank you and I will check my guage on the drive home - nice to have another excuse to try the "supercharger" and make everything is still perfect!

I appreciate the help.

It wasn't a waste of time at all. Just a surprise is all. :D I'm sure there are plenty of others who also didn't know what it was measuring.
