blistering hood question
is this the begining of the dreaded blistering hood? assuming that it is, does anyone know if GM will still fix it?

I'm not sure if the factory warr. will cover the paint on the under side of the hood. I don't see how is couldn't. The factory warr on paint defects is 6yr/100,000 miles.

My dad has that same problem too on the 2000 SE

The answer from the dealer and GM to my inquiry on the same thing was - no.

My 2001 SSEi has had that under the hood since new but the affected area has never spread. It's like its just on the surface of the underside and is still covered by the paint layer. It appears to be contained to within about 1/2" from the edge. If I see it creaping toward the hood lip I'll do something then, but for now it is definitely going nowhere.
