Window Regulators cheap. check this out.
I have a 2001 SLE. My left rear window regulator went. I have been reading other post about this problem and it finally had to happen to me. I called a local dealer around here and they want $505 for a new one installed. So I went back to some old post and found a link to a web site called, wregulator@msn.com . At this time I want to thank Auburn, he provided the link. I called this guy named Alex. Said he would rebuild mine for $55.00, since I would be coming to him and there is no core involved. Normally he charges $85. I live in NJ and he is in Brooklyn NY. So I went to NY. Now, I don't know if he charges more if he ships out or sells on ebay. You will have to work that out with him. He hooked me up with this other place 5 blocks away to take it out and reinstall. He charged me $60.00. I also got to watch Alex rebuild my regulator. He also did some improvements to the design so that it will not break again. From what I could tell the cable broke from the top. New cable and some modifications. Done in 20min.
So for a total of $115 plus tolls, gas and some time, sure beats paying a dealer $505. So give this guy a call. 718-851-0100. No matter what the price you will $ave. I just wanted to pass this along because if you are like me it seems like these Bonneville'* are a money pit. This is just one of the many problems that this car has. Everything that I have to fix seems to always cost a min of $300. I could go on and on. Anway, thanks and enjoy. Hope this helps somebody as it helped me.

Hey BONVIL01, Thanks for the post, very informative. I can make it to Brooklyn in under 2 hrs from this location in CT. I haven't needed any window regs yet, but my driver door window sounds like tractor gearing when lowering.

Glad to help. The guy is in Boro Park Brooklyn. Hope everything turns out as good as it did for me. Let me know how it went. Parking can be tricky.

Web address for regulators
I used him on one of my rear windows for my 2000. He had it back to me in 5 days. It was $85 including shipping. Wish I found him before I spent $250 last time. You can buy one from him, or send him yours to repair.
