Default Clay pots banging on concrete noise....

That'* the best way I can descibe the noise comming from the right front while going over bumps. I have some clay pots laying around outside on a concrete patio that I sometimes move around; and when I set one down its makes a distinct noise, almost like a hollow clap.

I'm too old to worry about cars; I just get curious. I always turn my own wrenches (MAC wrenches that is) and enjoy doing it.

I love this little car. It just has the N/A 3800, but it WILL FLAT GET WITH IT.

I haven't started grabbing onto to stuff yet trying to find something that might wiggle; that would be the next step. I just thought maybe one of you fellers might have expirenced this noise and....would make a short cut for me. Know what I mean Vern?

Mac, I would be inclined to start looking in the area of the right side strut. Jack up the front of the car, remove the right front wheel and go from there with a close inspection of things. If you have transmission jack, you could jack the right side suspension an inch or so just to provide loading during observation. How many miles do you have on the car, Vern?

Mark & Toasty: I'll take a look at the right strut sometime this week. That would seem to make sense because the noise sounds like something fairly light weight like a strut. I need to start thinking about brakes pretty soon too because I only have 3/32" before the squeeler starts touching the rotor.

Mark: It only has a little over 84,000 miles on it.

Thanks guys
