intense pcm question (2.86 or 3.05?)
I was looking into ordering the intense racing pcm. Looking at the page I have a couple of questions right off the dynabat (he he). That was a joke.
Anyway, first off I don't know which ratio to order. There are two seperate pcms for the 2003 Bonneville ssei. There are two options. There is the 2.86 or the 3.05 options. I assume these have something to do with the gear ratios, but I am unsure which is in my car. Any help is appreciated.
Also, I don't know which options to add to the pcm. This is a daily driver so I don't want anything too extreme, also I don't know weither I should disable any of the egr codes since at inspection they hook up to my obd2 and a friend told me they can tell if codes are disabled. Again any help is appreciated.
Also, if you have the time please take my survey.

I think 00+ SSEi'* are 2.86, but I could be wrong. Take a look at your spare tire cover for RPO codes and compare to this section of the list copied from Techinfo.
FQ3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.86
FR2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.93
FW2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.06
F17 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.84
F79 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.97
F83 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.05
GX3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.33
FQ3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.86
FR2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.93
FW2 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.06
F17 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.84
F79 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 2.97
F83 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.05
GX3 - ratio, transaxle, final drive 3.33

ok we checked the spare tire cover and the only code on that list that you posted was FR2 2.93 which isn't even offered on the intense website. So what next?

Yeah they didnt have my RPO code either but they figured it out, they just have to get your VIN # and break the code. Usually if its not on there site, just means they havent dealt with it yet. It'll probably take an extra day or something, but Im sure they will contact you about that,. Rogue is a great person to ask about this.

All of the SC'd 96-03 Bonnevilles came from the factory with the 2.93 Gear ratio
