gonna need to get a tech2 scanner on there to see exactly what the problem is.

probably gonna be one of the 4 wheel speed sensors (WSS) or the steering wheel position sensor. the WSS are built into the hub'* so if you need to replace the sensor, you need to replace the entire hub.

The most common cause has been the steering position sensor. As Haro mentioned, the wheel speed sensors could also be the issue. Those generally throw an ABS or traction control issue. Two other sensors could also be a cause. The only way to know for sure is to get it scanned.

Not tryin to hi jack your thread, but I get the same problem with my 2000.
The car will drive fine for days & than out of the blue it will lock up & the stability system active will start flashing.
Dose anyone know if it can be programmed out so that it will just no longer function?
