Is it Tranny or Motor Mount?
and is it hard to replace by myself. Just found out today that the front mount on the car was bad. Car kept jumping everytime I hit the gas, well I put it in drive and moved around the driveway back and forth today, and whenever I hit the gas, the front of the motor moves up almost a whole inch! I called autozone, they say they only have tranny mount for the front, is this the same thing? The mount that is bad is on the right hand front side if you are facing the car head on with the hood open. Thanks, Brad

Yes techincally if you look at the engine from the front, the right hand mount is the transmission mount. Autozone is right. And yes, i think you can do this yourself.

Well, two days later, the mount finally came in, I had to order it due to Autozone not "normally" stocking this item. I am planning on doing this tonight when I get home, is it fairly easy to do, and hopefully not take too long? Thanks guys, Brad

You need to take a jack and support the front part of the motor using a big block of wood on your jack and holding the motor by the oil pan. If you don't do this, you will never get the load off of the mount and won't be able to take it out/put it back in, the holes won't line up.

i did my car by hand,no jack, no wood.
i was the first to put a solid mount on a 2000.
rock the motor by hand in park and hit the E brake.
ROD
ps. how much $ for a stock mount?
