Default 02 bonneville heat not working

It started out the heat would sometimes work but only after you start taking off down the road in it. It wouldn't work right when it started. Then it workes fine for a couple days. Now its not working at all. It has the electronic dual climate controls. The a/c will not work either. I already tried that. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm betting you have a bad air temp blend door motor. They are kind of hard to diagnose without the aid of a tech 2 scanner. You need to get in there and look at the motor and see if it moves when you change the temp settings. You also need to make sure the heater core isn't plugged and flowing water.

Where is the air temp blend door motor? Not really familiar with these cars. I've never had to work on one yet

Ok I figured it out. I beat on the blower motor and it started working. Thanks for the help though

Sorry, when you said not working I assumed temp issues not that it didn't blow any air.

Phil ... same thing happened to me. Eventually the blower motor will have to be replaced. A little "tap" in the right place was a suggestion by my trusted mechanic. He also correctly predicted that the motor would eventually go and have to be replaced. When the tap becomes a "blow" and the motor does not start, you know you have arrived at placement time.
