2001- Wet carpet in back and Airbag light on with Code B0100
 

Hello everyone,
just bought a 2001 Bonneville SE for my girlfriend. Got a nice suprise with it-- after a heavy rain Airbag light came on and stayed since then. Scantool gets back code B0100- front sensor not talking. I also noticed wet carpet in the back. Reading through the Alldata site, I can see that the main control module sits under the carpet in that area and that once it gets wet it might need to be replaced. Has anyone seen wet carpet cause this light to come one and what would you do? I am tempted to rip the back carpet out and let things dry first. Speaking of which- how do you do that? I can find the ends of the carpet under back seat and also under side trim, but am not quite sure how it's attached under front seats.
