Default CAI???

I was wondering what was the best cold-air box and filter to get for the SSEI? I was thinking of purchasing a Thrasher kit, but would like to hear suggestions. I also found a kit at http://www.domesticperformance.com/p...roducts_id=160 .

Could some please help...

Thanks

That was Domestics previous air intake. They are working on a new 'true' cold air intake with an aluminum box and ceramic coated Intake pipe.
The kit should be available soon and you can supply your own filter, I'm going with extreme k&n.
I've been waiting months for this kit as I think its worth the wait

I hope "soon" is close at hand because I'm ready now.

The Thrasher works good, and is fairly easy to install. My guess is in the */C cars you need to REALLY be concearned with engine compartment heat recirculating back into the engine where the ceramic coated what nots would come into play.

PontiacDAD, could you pm me when that airbox is out from Domestic, as it sounds like something I would want to go with.

Thanks

PDad is this something designed for OUR cars or another GP thing? I like my SLP but my cone is too small (7" and shaddup on the jokes) with no room for a larger one.

Have'nt heard from Ty in a while about the air box. I will email him to see where he'* at.
This is suppose to be an all aluminum box for the 2k+ bonneville.
The extreme filter is the one Willwren and Allmachtige use, its more oval than round.

If I was to get a CAI wouldn't I need to do some exhaust work as well so it can breathe out better? Plus then I'd need to go a heat range colder for my plugs, And since it ran hotter I'd need the 180 or 160 t-stat, plus possibly the tranny cooler, and how about those rockers too?....... Next thing ya know I'll be in the poor house! I guess this is why I haven't gone any further. I've been safe and inexpensive by only getting the SC pulley and a K&N air filter. Still, all those upgrades WOULD be sweet.....
