Default GXP steering wheel in a 2000?

Would the GXP steering wheel fit in my 2000 Bonnie and would the airbag fit in the whole? I don't know why not but there has been some discretion about it and I thought I would double check. I have my hands on a 2005 GXP steering wheel but no airbag.
