Stock Torque Converter Stall Speed
Can any help me out and tell me the stock stall speed on a torque convert for a 2000 SSEi? I had to have a new one put on my car, and now the car is slower than before. WAY slower then before. I can give it like 1/4 throttle or less, keep it under 2,300 RPMs starting from a red light at 0MPH, and the supercharger has whine to it like it does when you punch it. Almost like it is straining to engine is straining to get the car moving now. Mmy boost is almost full each time I take off from a stop normally too. I can punch it full throttle from a standstill and not even get a chirp out of the tires. Guy is telling me the newer torque convert has a different stall speed than my car had, so this is normal now. I sure as hell no it is in no way "normal". I drive the dang thing everyday! Thanks, Brad

Well, the torque convertor is what went bad, they looked at the transmission and said it was fine, nothing to worry about there. After driving it with the guy around the block, he finally agreed something was not right, so now I have it there again, and probably won't get it back until Tuesday. I hate cars......lol
