What did it cost you guys to have your shift kits put in?
I just talked to 2 tranny shops and they both quoted me $200-500 just for labor.This seems WAY to high.The last place i talked to said he may have to pull the tranny out just to do it.That doesnt seem right from what i have read on here.Any input is appreciated.

My understanding of the kits we have seen from most vendors (4t65) are installed through the pan. Most 4T60 kits require the trans to be pulled. However the 60 stopped appearing in the Bonne in 98.

I hear it is quite easy. If you are mechanically inclined......maybe check out the INTENSE and ZZP sites for instructions and gauge it from there?

It is doable yourself...I think. I got mine Friday and looked at the instructions with a big ? mark over my head. I'll put it off for a little bit. 
The instructions are detailed from Intense, but its still a little confusing if you never touched a trans in your life because the words used mean nothing to me.

Yes it is very simple and hard to go wrong as long as you know how to undo and reinstall bolts. It took me about 1/2 hour to do after the pan was removed. You might want to purchase an in-lb torque wrench so you get the bolts torqued correctly. Cost is about $50 and your labour is free. Oh and 6 liters of trani fluid plus a filter. You can reuse the pan gasket.

1) drop pan/drain fluid
2) remove seven (as I recall) screws and take out the accumulator
3) replace springs, seals in accumulator, add spacers
4) reassemble with new gasket and filter (supplied in Thrasher Kit)
5) replace pan and fluid
6) drive
EASY!!!
THE MOST rewarding hour I've spent working in the Bonnie! Great BANG for the BUCK (and time).
