Default Performance chip and/or reprogramming the PCM?

:?:
Ok, I keep reading these posts of people saying to either get a performance chip or have the pcm reprogrammed. I have tried for the life of me to find either one and have been unsuccessful. Would someone please enlighten me with a locationg to get either? I would rather go with the reprogramming part, but would like info on both. Also, about that SC boost solenoid, will all performance chips bypass that and will a reprogrammed PCM too? Any information on this subject would be great as I am getting ready to buy a 3.4" pulley and do some performance work. Then its on to getting 20'* for the boat.. BTW.. I have a 2000 Bonne SSEi.

Thanks,
Derek

Hypertech is SUPPOSED to be coming out with a power programmer after the first for out vehicles. It is a handheld device that plugs into your OBDII harness and "re programs" the car'* computer. The nice thing about their device is that you can GO BACK TO FACTORY PROGRAMMING, and/or customize your programming. Head over to hypertech.com and check it out. Call them and tell them you want it for you car, we've already sent a few people from here to put some fire under their buts...

When released, it should be close in cost to the other services that are advertised for our vehicles (reprogrmming)

Well I can offer you a solution too. I'm in the process of getting pricing right now in fact.

Thanks for all of the replies.

mremer:
I looked everywhere on Hypertech'* website for info about a Bonneville. Did you read this on there or hear about it from word of mouth? If you did get it from their website, could you hit me up with a link? If not, I will just give them a call and get some information.

DeathRat:
I am also interested in hearing about your solution. Let us know the details. I am just looking for a little more than a pulley. My friend has a '96 GTP with a pulley, CAI, exhaust and a reprogrammed pcm and that car is a rocket.. I know with my car being bigger and heavier, it wont perform as well, but I would love that feeling that I get in my friends Grand Prix.

The possiblity of a Performance Chip & Reprogramed ECU, custom tuned for a specific vehicle. The Technology is out there. I've already had two other requests for this sort of thing.
