Not sure if local stores carry the GM required oil. Seen somewhere on here that their is an alternate, but do not recall. GM dealership should have it. Or...while reviewing Dan'* How-To here....https://www.gmforum.com/showthread.p...percharger+oil he provides a link to a secondary source for oil.

5W30 full synthetic oil, such as Mobil 1, is an acceptable substiture.

No need to use the expensive stuff. I've rebuilt a lot of them and use Mobile1 5w30 synthetic.

Hmmm, lets see...Autozone has a 1 quart Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic for $9.29. That'* 32 OUNCES!

Gm Supercharger oil $8.90. 4 OUNCES.

So, it usually takes 2 bottles or 8 ounces of oil to do an oil change, but with one quart, I can get quite a few.

1 jug of oil, 5 quarts, oil change with filter, 4.5 quarts. Hmm, .5 quarts left over. Sounds like a easy extra 5 mins and the SC oil is changed at no extra cost.
