I second Dan on the Mobile filter. The K&N is supposed to be the same as the Mobile (except it has an supplemental removal method) so if Mobile is not available, look for the K&N.

I will say this. Fram used to be a good filter. And I used to use them all the time. Then I cut a old one open once. After that I never used them again. I found the inside all collapsed.

Wow, really? Thats basically all my dad and I have ever used in our vehicles..in his 2004 Century he got brand new, with 320,000kms, my 2000 Ranger that had about 200k kms when I wrote it off, and in my 02 Century that has 170k kms. I sure hope that was just one bad filter you came across..

ive read alot of research on oil filters and no one has anything nice to say about fram. i usually put delco filters on and i had to use a fram for my truck last time because they were out and i lost a bunch of pressure.

I say stay away from the PF47E'* you find at Walmart, other than that you should be okay.

I run Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-301.
